Apple has approved Boiler Blast 1.3 for sale in the store.
This free update brings unlockable stage-selection to the game!
Now when players start a new game they can begin at any stage that they've previously unlocked.
Stages are individually unlocked once their predecessor is successfully completed.
Locks are tracked and stored separately for each level of difficulty.

In a jam it's better to lose 2 reputation points by flooding the building than to lose 3 by letting the boiler blow.
It will usually be very close, so you'll have to use your best judgment.
If you don't believe you have enough time left to finish your grid, tap the boiler and flood the room.
You'll lose 2 lives and have to start the stage over, but you'll save the 3rd life.
Of course, if you can finish in time, you'll keep all of your reputation points and score.
Tough call.

Apple has approved Boiler Blast 1.2 for sale in the store.
Despite its minor version number this release is really a major update.
We've increased the number of stages from 25 to 48.
Care was taken to ensure a slower progression of difficulty between levels.
Many of the new stages help players develop basic strategies before they're exposed to more challenging levels.
We've introduced an EASY-NORMAL-HARD difficulty system to make the game more inclusive.
The old HERO mode settings have been absorbed into the new HARD difficulty setting.
New players should start in EASY mode.
We've refactored the menu system in order to reduce complexity and improve usability.
The sensitivity of the MENU button (which also acts as the PAUSE button during game play) has been reduced to avoid misfires.

You don't need to return to the tool belt for similar pipe segments.
The currently selected pipe type remains active, allowing you to place as many pipes of that type as required.
Group your pipe placement by pipe type and you'll only need to return to the tool belt a few times.
This strategy can shave precious seconds from your solution time.

With double the stages, a new EASY-NORMAL-HARD difficulty system and improved usability it's a pretty solid upgrade.

Apple has approved Boiler Blast 1.1 for sale in the store!
There are several significant changes in this update.
First, we've allowed more time for most levels as requested by users.
The default game is now easier than it was.
Second, we've also added a new Hero mode to contain and preserve the original settings.
This mode is for hardcore gamers only.
Hero mode is disabled by default but can be enabled in Options.
Finally, we've added a dialog to query users before starting a new game if it will override their saved game.
Our apologies to anyone who got zapped by this oversight in the original version.

The users have spoken!
We've received a lot of positive feedback about the boiler animations, free-form pipe use and Ratty's scampering but there's one theme in the feedback that kept coming up.
The later levels (starting around 8) are pretty difficult.
So we've re-balanced many of the stages in Boiler Blast and pushed out a free update for all of our users.
If you like the Blast exactly as it is, don't worry, we've maintained the original settings in a special Hero mode that can be enabled in Options.

Wrapping up version 1.0 is a huge milestone and it's a relief to have achieved it.
